LAS PALMAS

By Rohit

On one of those really cold days, we decided to go to a Mexican restaurant for some buffet. Among the contenders were Taco Bell and Las Palmas, of which Las Palmas had a distinct appeal because we had not been there before. So, all of us left on a chilly afternoon to Las Palmas. Nick had the aura of an experienced man, and Mexican restaurants was second nature to him. Cigar in his mouth, he gunned the Jeep down Ogden to land us splat in the middle of Las Palmas parking lot.

The food turned out to be a great deal: all you can eat for $4.50!!! Included in that was burritos, tacos, fresh fruit, enchiladas, y más! You can just see the number of plates littered over the table (at least two per person). And can you imagine someone who would not want to go for a walk after such a heavy meal?

We didn't either, and so all of us went for a little walk...

Some people wanted privacy...and that's exactly what they got.

While walking, we came across this intersection where some people went crazy and chased geese or danced. Shortly thereafter we went past a mechanic's store, a mechanic who installed extremely large tires on trucks...twas pretty cool.

While some people were acting .. ahem...controversially, others were being cool. After a nice mile walk, we clambered onto the Jeep and went back to our abodes.
